This show focus on work that investigates exactly what the title implies: the space between two things. That could be the space between two physical objects, like the gap between two trees. It could also be the space between two ideas, two concepts, or two states of mind. How does someone who grew up in the country compare to someone who grew up in the city, and vice versa? How could you portray the space between their experiences? Even concepts like the space between two social classes, or two people in different walks of life- various interpretations of the theme are welcomed, even encouraged!
Join us for the Opening Reception was last  April 19 from 7:00 PM - 9:00 P.M. This exhibit is sponsored by the Marion Arts Commission in partnership with the Indiana Arts Commission. This art show will stay up at Kennedy Art Center through mid June.

Design is all around us, from the products we use to the spaces we inhabit. But how often do we consider the impact design has on our communities, particularly on people of color?
This interactive exhibition sponsored in part by the Indiana Arts Commission explores the community’s perspective on race in the context of media and product design to challenge us to think about how design can be used to create a more just and equitable future for all.
The public is welcome during the months of October, November, and December to come in and view the interviews with various community residents, learn of designs’ impact on history, and make your mark at each of the interactive displays. Kennedy Art Center is open T-F 10-5 and Sat 11-3.
